✧ KITTENS TEAM ✧
BEGINNERS
Upon joining, all riders will be placed into the "Kittens" team regardless of previous dressage experience. The new Kittens are put on a 2 week trial period, which upon ending they become official members. In Kittens, you will learn the fundamentals of TT dressage through Levels 1 and 2. These levels will cover basics such as gaps, timing and accuracy within individual riding or bigger groups working together. Each litter, a new routine is created by the Kittens Leader without the intention of competing. When you are a capable alternate rider or main rider in the given routine and you have a solid understanding of everything we cover in Levels 1 and 2, you will be ranked up to our "Cubs" team.

GAP VARIATIONS
HI (Halfway Inside): Your horses head is inside of the player in front of you.
BOS (Back of Saddle): Your horses head is touching the back of the saddle of the player in front of you. Used when trotting or cantering in full line.
NTT (Nose to Tail): Your horses nose is brushing the horses tail in front of you. Used when walking in a full line or coming into a halt.
HH (Half Horse): There is a half horse space between the horses tail in front of you and your horses nose.
OH (One Horse): There is a full horse sized space between the horses tail in front of you and your horses nose. Used in split lines when riders are trotting or cantering.
THE ARENA LINES & SPACING
The Outside Track: On all sides of the arena, ride just to the inside of the outer quadrant lines. This is to prevent running into the wall when doing multiple transition moves or specifically canter curls/other sets and also sets a clear boundary for all riders to stay within.
Quadrants/Quadrant Lines: Quadrant lines run from A to C (lengthwise). These lines are labelled as the center line, wide tier lines, quarter lines and 8th lines.
Dotted Quadrants/Lines: Dotted lines run from E to B (widthwise). These lines are labelled as the mid line, 5m lines, 10m lines, 15m lines, 20m lines and outer lines.
Location of X: The exact center of the arena (where centerline and midline meet).
